Bright and Beautiful Fabric Paints and Markers
This is a new line of
French water-based fabric paints that are absolutely the only one you will want to
use! Perfect for decorating tote bags, clothing, tablecloths, aprons,
pillows, drapes, book covers, as well as mixed-media art, scrapbooking, and
more.
These paints and markers can
be used on all pre-washed fabrics: cotton, wool, mesh, jersey, velvet, jacquard
knit, polyester, mixed fibers and even leather. They can be used on solid
surfaces as well, but do require a heat set for permanency.
Ready to use, sparkling and
intense, they can be used pure or diluted with water to obtain watercolor
effects. Their rich texture is suitable for various decorating techniques and
can be applied with a brush, dropper, stamp, silkscreen or stencils. You can
also do hand painting and sun painting as well. The paints work great with our
Art Foamies stamps.
Setacolor paints and markers have a range of concentrated heat-fixed colors for decorating fabrics. They are particularly vivid and bright, and can be used to paint, stain or print on natural or synthetic fibers. After fixing with an iron (or oven or heat-gun), they are perfectly resistant to washing and dry cleaning and the fabric retains all of its suppleness. Try it on ribbons or lace ... you will love the effect.
Great for kids and teens to have fun creating their own wearable artwork!
The paints come in two types
… light in transparent or translucent, glitter and fluorescent colors … and
opaque in regular, shimmer and pearlescent colors. The markers come in
transparent and opaque colors and three tips (1mm, 2mm and 4mm).
While we were learning about
this line of colors, we spent some time with artist Karla Leopold, who did some
wonderful mixed media samples shown below.
