Bryant Park NYC

On our recent trip to the National Stationery Show in NYC we stayed at a hotel close to Bryant Park. This is a great place to stop, cool off in the shade or sit on the sunny lawn, have an afternoon drink and people watch! We did that a couple of times and our feet were very happy, as we walked a whole bunch!

The park is really nice, with lawns, trees, walkways, a carrousel and a few places to eat and imbibe. It is very well used. With all the people there it reminded us so much of the famous Georges Seurat painting Sunday in the Park (aka: A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte).

Bryant Park Lawn
Bryant Park covers two city blocks near the New York City Library bordered by Fifth and Sixth Avenues and 40th and 42nd Streets in Midtown Manhattan. Worth a stop to rest tired feet or people watch next time you are in the Big Apple.
