Don't Miss the Holiday Events in Los Gatos
Los Gatos is a town that is full of spirit and fun. All year long there are wonderful events, from runs and bike rides to wine walks and music. The Holidays bring their own list of family events to our town. Here's a rundown of what's up.
Friday, Nov 30: Tree Lighting in the Town Plaza. Tree Lighting festivities start at 4:00 pm
at the Plaza Park at the corner of Main Street
and Santa Cruz Ave. Actual lighting of the
tree is at 6pm. Santa arrives on a red fire
engine at 6:01pm and goes back to North Pole
at 7pm.
Saturday, Dec 1: 56th Annual Los Gatos Children’s Christmas/Holidays Parade. The parade starts at 11am. It proceeds down Santa Cruz Avenue (right in front of Vintages, which is a great spot to watch the happenings as the judging location is across the street!) and then on to Main Street. We will open a bit early, so stop in.
Nov 23 through Dec 31: Fantasy of Lights at Vasona Park. A drive-through
holiday lights display spectacular at Vasona
Lake County Park. See old favorites including
Santa Shoots Hoops, the Pirate Ship with
Booming Canon, and the Poinsettia Arch.
Nov 30 through Dec 23: Los Gatos Holiday Carriage Rides. Enjoy a holiday tradition
in downtown Los Gatos and feel the romance
of Christmas past. Ride in an elegant horse-drawn
carriage with a stately driver and horses wearing
holiday bells. The tinkling of the bells as
carriages ride through town brings a festive
spirit that's unmatched in the Bay Area.
Dec 1 to
23 (Thursdays through Sundays):
The Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad presents The Holiday Train. Wow! What fun. Ride the train in Oakmeadow Park and get a complimentary Carousel ride.
Dec 1 & 2: Scholastic Book Fair at the Los Gatos
Adult Recreation Center on Main Street from 10am to 4pm.
Sundays Dec 9, 16 & 23: Santa
in the Town Plaza. Santa and his elves will be in the Plaza from 11am to 3pm. Bring the kids and take a photo with Santa.
... and remember to stop in to Vintages for the best of Holiday decorations and gifts. Happy Holidays.
