Anandamayi Arnold Paper Dress Demonstration
In association with the San Francisco Fine Art Museum at the Legion of Honor in Lincoln Park, Isabelle de Borchgrave's Pulp Fashion, Anandamayi Arnold will be demonstrating the methods and process of creating a paper dress.
Anandamayi Arnold is a local Bay Area paper artist whose work takes root in historical costume design, trompe l'oeil and paper manipulation. Over the course of three demonstrations, Anandamayi will fabricate a wearable paper costume inspired by a French style from the 1780s. She will begin with the underpinnings, then construct the overskirt and bodice, and finally trim and decorate the ensemble. The museum invites you to drop by any time between noon and 3:00 pm on the demonstration days (which are the first Sundays of March, April and May) to see how it's progressing.
