Antique French Souvenir Apron

Image
We found this lovely old souvenir apron. WOW! It is made of silk fabric decorated with lace and embroidery. It is a full length apron and includes a back "collar". It is a souvenir of France, probably Paris, from the turn of the last century -- 1900 that is! It is beautiful, delicate and a real treasure. It is priced at $75.00.

Susan's Handcrafted Flower Pins & Barrettes

Image
Susan has created these beautiful flowers that she makes into pins and barrettes. The flower petals are fashioned from fabric and the centers are buttons, brooches and doodads, both new and vintage. Each of these is unique and one-of-a-kind. These are real fashion statements measuring about 3 to 4 inches across. While most of these are made as pins, Susan (or Bob) will be happy to convert it to a barrette for you. The flowers ($39.95 each) are currently available in the shop and online at Pretty Ribbons at Pretty Ribbons (Susan's Etsy shop) and in Vintages' Online Shop .

The earliest "labels" for wines were made for amphorae - vessels that held wine long before the invention of the bottle. The Babylonians had cylind...
